“Sometime this Fall” was all Apple mentioned when they were asked about when exactly will they bring out watchOS 6 update for Apple Watch Series 1 and 2.
watchOS 6 update arrived at 19th of September (2019) but this time and here are all the devices that support it:
- Apple Watch Series 1
- Apple Watch Series 2
- Apple Watch Series 3
- Apple Watch Series 4
- Apple Watch Series 5
That’s literally all the models except for the Original Apple Watch (from 2015)
But this time, Apple did label the Series 1 and Series 2 with the term “Later this Year”
Which means that all the owners of the Series 1 or Series 2 Apple Watch won’t get any update for their Apple Watch until December.
I personally own a Series 1 (Image Above) and it’s kind of Frustrating that the update is still not here yet.
Will it even get the update?
Before answering that question, I can almost confirm that watchOS 6 will be the last update for Apple Watch Series 1 and maybe even Series 2.
Apple recently rolled an unexpected update for the Series 1 and 2 which was watchOS 5.3.2.
It was unexpected because it came after the release of watchOS 6.
If you’re waiting for the update like me, the answer is YES it will get the update for sure but it could take as long as December
I think it should come out on December for sure.
