If you’re using a OnePlus device (OnePlus 3, 3T, 5, 5T, 6, 6T) then any OTG Cable will not work by Default.
In order to fix that, you will need do a small Tweak inside your Settings that enables OTG.
Note: This Procedure might be different if you’re using a Different Version of Android. If that’s the case, make sure to comment below and I’ll be happy to help.
How to Enable OTG on a OnePlus?
It’s simple, here’s how:
- Go to Settings and scroll down to System Settings.
- Now find the option “OTG Storage“
- Now, enable OTG Storage and you’re on the go.

OTG Storage means it will support Storage Devices only?
No, for some reason they chose to label it “OTG Storage” but enabling it won’t just make your device support USB Hard Drives or Pen-drives, but you can also plug in things like:
- USB Microphone.
- Charge other Phone.
and many more USB accessories.
The reason why they have chosen not to enable the OTG by default is because of some security reasons. You can keep it turned on but the worst Part is it will turn off Automatically when not in use.
