Display settings are one of the most Important Aspects of Gaming. 80% of the World’s Gamers are playing on the Full HD Resolution of 1920 x 1080 (i.e. 16:9) because it is the most Standard Resolution available right now.
16:9 is the most used Screen Ratio of this time. Not just in gaming but in Movies and YouTube Videos as well.
Although while playing with the settings of a Game let’s say CS:GO you may see an Option of 4:3 in Screen Ratios. Many Pros still play on 4:3 and there are multiple reasons for that and here are some:
1. Just being used to it
Yes, you read that right. Many Gamers in the Esports are gaming from the Late ’90s and in that time the only Available option for them was 4:3 so some people just play on 4:3 because they’re just used to it.
If you’re used to 16:9, it won’t be an Upgrade playing on 18:9 it would just feel different and ever Harder.
Okay, this one has been a Myth from a Long time. People still say that playing on Stretch is an Advantage because the Enemies will appear more Wider (Fatter) and if this is the reason you’d like to try Stretched trust me it won’t work out for you because it’s not just the Enemies that get Wider, your Crosshair, the Surrounds and everything just gets Stretched and you may think it’s easier but it’s not.
Everything will move faster as well.
But, many people like Scream and even Shroud plays on Stretched because at the End, it’s just a Personal Preference it’s worthy to give it a Try Once.
3. Less area to Concentrate on
Okay, this one actually makes sense. If you’re sniping in the game, you probably won’t like to see any Disturbances while playing and this could be a Reason why people prefer 4:3 with Black Bars and it’s true. One of the Popular Snipers in CS
Although there are many reasons to play on 4:3, you should probably stick to what you’re playing on right now. If it’s 16:9, it’s Perfect.
